TBAC, Inc. comes from a 1970s drive towards a National Endowment for the arts.  Supported primarily by educators in Northeast Michigan, Thunder Bay Arts has grown to be more than a council.  It has become a primary vehicle for creatively fostering/catalyzing artistic and cultural development of the community and the region with support for the performing and visual arts.
